Ever since Nusrat Jahan became a mother, speculations revolving around the identity of her child’s father have been rife in the media.
Nusrat Jahan gave birth to her first baby boy on August 26 and named him Yishaan J Dasgupta. According to the document of Kolkata Municipal Corporation, the child had been named Yishaan J Dasgupta, son of Debashis Dasgupta, which is actor Yash Dasgupta’s official name.
Nusrat made into the talks after she separated from her husband Nikhil Jain and started dating actor Yash Dasgupta. There have been rumors of Nusrat and Yash dating since her divorce.
In a recent talk with media, Nusrat Jahan described the question regarding the father’s identity as a black spot on a woman’s character. She said the father knows who the father is, and they are having a great time, enjoying parenthood together.
On Wednesday, a birth certificate of Yishaan Dasgupta was uploaded on the official website of the KMC, and the father’s name was mentioned as Debashis Dasgupta. In the last West Bengal Assembly elections, Yash had fought with a BJP ticket in the district of Hooghly but had lost the elections.
Earlier, Nusrat tied the knot with businessman Nikhil Jain in 2019 in Turkey, but things did not go well between them, and they soon parted ways. Nusrat Jahan said that her marriage with Nikhil Jain is not legal in India, and they have been separated since November 2020.
Yash Dasgupta drove Nusrat Jahan to the hospital on August 25, and later, it was also him who confirmed that both Nusrat and the baby were doing well and are healthy. The actor was also spotted carrying the newborn in his arms.
Everyone had an eye on the question of paternity since Nusrat announced her pregnancy, and now it has been cleared off by the child’s birth certificate.
