In a surprising turn of events, a woman residing in Delhi’s Bhajanpura approached the Ghaziabad police to report the theft of Rs. 3.6 lakh from her house. According to the CCTV footage, the two suspects were her neighbour and another resident from the same neighbourhood. The footage revealed that on May 26, the two thieves arrived at DLF Colony in Ghaziabad, carrying the stolen ₹3.6 lahks. It was at this point that they encountered two police officers, identified as head constable Dheeraj Chaturvedi and constable Indrajeet Kumar.

Instead of arresting the thieves and recovering the stolen money, the two policemen allegedly resorted to unlawful means. They reportedly robbed the two suspects of the stolen money and allowed them to go free. This shocking revelation prompted an immediate investigation by the Ghaziabad police.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (trans-Hindon) Vivek Chandra Yadav took charge of the case and initiated a thorough inquiry.
