Covid-19 strategies planned by the US Government to eradicate the new strain

The US Government has proposed strategies to fight again the new strain of covid-19 virus-the Omicron. The main plans include the launch of new booster jabs, free testing at the comfort of the people’s homes, and new rules and regulations for ecumenical travelers.

The US President Joe Biden has introduced new rules and regulations that will be implemented to fight against the Covid-19 virus mutant. He stated that the spread of the Omicron variant in the world has increased the urgency of the situation to introduce booster jabs to provide immunization against the new strain of the virus.

Biden’s plans also include laying out strict restrictions for International travelers and also widening the excess for the people to get tested at the comfort of their homes.

Further, German Chancellor Angela Merkel has divulged to the public on Thursday relaying restrictions for the unvaccinated people, has stated that people who have not received a single dose of vaccination will be exempted to enter non-essential shops, cultural and recreational sites. The parliament has also announced that the Government will also implement rules to take vaccines mandatory in the coming months.

India along with other countries including Finland and Norway have already reported the first case of the infection of the covid-19 mutant.

The UK Government has requested the hospitals to provide monoclonal therapy called Sontrovimbap to the patients who possess the risk to develop severe symptoms of the Covid-19 virus.

The information regarding the severity or the transmissibility rate of the new strain is still not made clear. It will take the scientists time to culture the new variant and test their samples in the labs.
