The minister pointed out that despite the deployment of 19 IAS (Indian Administrative Service) and 18 DANICS (Delhi, Andaman, and Nicobar Islands Civil Service) officers to oversee rescue, relief, and rehabilitation work in the flood-affected districts, the relief package for the flood victims had not been processed promptly. Each officer was responsible for providing relief to around 70 families, amounting to approximately 7 families per day. However, even this modest task was not accomplished within the given timeframe.
