What is wrong with OnePlus nowadays?

Most of you must have heard the name of OnePlus or have been using their smartphones too. OnePlus is the company that has brought a revolution in the smartphone industry. OnePlus was started by two-person in 2013 named Pete Lau and Carl Pei.

They kept a vision to give affordable smartphones with top-of-the-line specs, so they were called flagship killers. They have done so much great work in the past and provided some brilliant devices down the line.

But it all started to go wrong in 2020 when suddenly the news came that carl Pei had left the company. And after that, the decisions which OnePlus is making to date are all going against them. So here, we will try to understand what is going wrong with OnePlus.

OnePlus core employees are leaving the company.Common Problems In OnePlus Nord CE 5G: PROVEN FIXES!

The problem starts when carl Pei leaves the company with him. Several employees also resigned from the company. The head of the Europe division had also left the company and started Nothing with carl Pei. It doesn’t stop there. The India head of OnePlus, who has been with OnePlus since the early days, has also left the company.

If you have been following OnePlus, you must have seen the video when OnePlus had to move to Oppo’s headquarters because of their merger, and it clearly shows the employees were not happy to leave.

It’s clear that Oppo has taken control of OnePlus, and the full power of OnePlus from India has gone, and Oppo makes decisions in China.

Therefore you can clearly say that Oppo has taken control over OnePlus, and there are several delays in the launch of products. The bigger problem is that they don’t have any head of operations for India like Xiaomi and Realme, which leads them to make such bad decisions and harmful products as per the Indian market.

OnePlus Nord 2 blastOnePlus Nord: Everything You Expected But With Some Problems

Nevertheless brand has big problems going on, but with that in their launch of Nord 2, there are several problems with the device. We all have heard the news of the phone blasting in people’s pockets and hands. It’s not like one or two cases are there nowadays. There are several cases of Nord 2 blast.

And yes, the company has given compensation and medical bills to the victims. But the problem is that they were not taking responsibility for the damages. The last statement was that they would give the compensation.

We all have known that once the note 7 of Samsung was going through this situation and Samsung have given updates researched about it. OnePlus recalled all of their note seven devices globally, and after knowing the problem, they had accepted their mistakes in front of the word.

Instead of searching for the reason for the blast, OnePlus had launched another special edition of that same Nord 2.

These are some terrible things that this company is doing. It is like they were playing with the lives of their users.

OnePlus nine series is a failure. No, OnePlus 9 series will not support more 5G bands in India via OTA update

All of the problems aside, the new issue with the company was that their nine series devices were not sold as expected. No doubt the devices are suitable, but their pricing was high and with no such improvement as per the competition. They had also given many offers to sell the devices in the festival season, but that was not a success.

The overhyped cameras were not up to the mark. There were several downsides like lack of software optimization higher price as compared to previous devices. There were several heating issues too.

And now, as Google launched its pixels, they have tough competition already in India due to high price, they were unable to sell the nine series, and after pixel, no one in foreign countries will touch the nine series.

OnePlus 9r was a great device too, but its monopoly was crushed by Iqoo and the Realme device launched at the same price with tremendous improvement compared to 9r.

Users hope to launch their T series in late October, but they haven’t established that either.

They cancelled that device entirely, and instead of that, they launched the 9rT in china, but that too has no firm news to be found in India. Because if they have to establish that it should have been launched till now.

OnePlus and Oppo’s merger.More of OnePlus' business is merging with Oppo's

The final strike came when OnePlus announced its merger with Oppo, which changed the way users see OnePlus. It’s a fact that the user base of OnePlus is those who don’t want heavy skins on their phones. And oxygen OS was the users’ choice, but they decided to merge that with Oppo’s colour os. And they thought that this would come as good news, but users had taken this negatively, and why shouldn’t they? If we want colour OS, then we can buy Oppo phones no need for OnePlus.

And recent news shows that the upcoming OnePlus 10 series will have several features like the forthcoming flagship in Oppo. From design to the software, they will be almost similar, which affects the current users.

Hasselblad and OnePlus partnership

ith the nine series, OnePlus has partnered with Hasselblad to improve their cameras, and they had given 150 million dollars. And it spent all this money just to put the name of Hasselblad, and it didn’t affect the camera performance any good with the nine series.
If they had just spent this money on the research and development of their cameras, it would have been great for both users and the brand. And they will surely take the money back by increasing the price of the smartphone, which is not great and can be a reason for the failure of the nine series.

So in the end, I can say that after carl pei left the company, they were not focused anymore and were making bad decisions one after another.

And this has shown a harmful impact on the brand, and if they do not fix this problem, they will surely go down. No one can save them from going down.

Stiff competition can crush them quickly if they don’t have any ideas to fix all the issues.
Let us hope for the best because this company has a great fan base and competition with big brands like Apple and Samsung.
