He was seen examining the work-in-progress while dressed in a white kurta-churidar and wearing a safety helmet. According to official sources, Modi interacted with personnel involved in the construction while inspecting the ongoing work.
The structure is part of the Central Vista project, which has been criticised by opponents. The Lok Sabha Hall will seat 888 members in the new edifice, while the Rajya Sabha chamber will seat 384 members.

After returning from a three-day trip to the United States, where he addressed the United Nations General Assembly and attended the Quad Summit, the Prime Minister faced a packed agenda. The new parliament building will be 64,500 square metres in size. It will also have a stately Constitution Hall to exhibit India’s democratic legacy, a lounge for members of Parliament, a library, various committee rooms, dining places, and plenty of parking.

Work on the expansion of Central Vista Avenue began with this ceremony.
The Central Vista redevelopment project calls for a new triangular Parliament building, a shared central secretariat, and the renovation of the 3-kilometre-long Rajpath from Rashtrapati Bhavan to India Gate.

It is worth noting that Prime Minister Narendra Modi lay the groundwork for this endeavour on December 10th. Tata Projects Limited is responsible for the building’s construction. This project is expected to cost 971 crores. Aside from that, there will be more than 326 Rajya Sabha seats available. There will also be seating for a total of 1224 members. Aside from that, each member will get a 400-square-foot office in the new building.
