Ayushmann Khurrana, born on 14th September 1984 in Chandigarh, is an Indian television presenter and film actor. He was born to P. Khurrana, a renowned astrologer, and Poonam Khurana. Initially named Nishant, his parents changed his name to Ayushmann when he was three years old. He has a brother named Aparshakti Khurrana, who is also an actor.
Ayushmann studied at St. Johns High School and Dav College in Chandigarh and then pursued English Literature and Mass Communication at Punjab University.Â

Ayushman married his childhood friend and long-time girlfriend, Tahira Kashyap, in 2011; they have a son and a daughter together.

His Career
Ayushmann Khurrana began his career as an RJ at Big FM, Delhi. He hosted the show Big Chai – Maan Na Maan, Main Tera Ayushmann, and won the Young Achievers Award in 2007. He entered the film world in 2012 with Shoojit Sircar’s Vicky Donor.Â
Khurrana debuted with romantic comedy Vicky Donor in 2012 opposite co-debutante Yami Gautam where his performance as a sperm donor earned him the Filmfare Award for the best male debut. He achieved popularity with his first film Vicky Donor, and his effortless performance on his debut earned him rave reviews; Vicky Donor became one of the biggest hits of 2012.
Khurrana has since then received several awards for portraying ordinary men who fight against social norms, including a National Film Award and four Filmfare Awards, for films like Badhai Ho, and Andhadhun among others. He was named as one of the 100 Most Influential People in the World by Time magazine in 2020.Â
