As the horrifying events unfolded, the young man managed to make a desperate phone call to his brother, pleading for help as he feared for his life. His words, “Save me; they’ll kill me,” echoed with desperation and despair. However, tragically, aid arrived too late, and the young man succumbed to his injuries.

Law enforcement authorities swiftly responded to the distress call, initially informing them that a thief had been apprehended in the Khoda Colony Ghaziabad around 6:30 p.m. Hastening to the scene, the police discovered Parvez, the victim, lying unconscious. He was promptly rushed to a nearby city hospital, where medical professionals, after examining him, sadly declared him dead. DCP (trans-Hindon) Vivek Yadav confirmed the tragic outcome.

Subsequent investigations swiftly revealed that the case was not one of mere theft, as initially reported. Police officials pieced together the events leading to the young man’s untimely demise. Parvez, a skilled welder by profession, had met the girl, who hailed from a different community, approximately a year ago in Delhi. The two developed a romantic relationship and had been seeing each other secretly.

However, their clandestine meeting on that fateful Thursday took a horrifying turn when the 15-year-old girl invited Parvez to her house in Ghaziabad, unaware that her family would return earlier than expected. Upon discovering the couple together, the girl’s father was consumed by anger and swiftly summoned his neighbours, Ranjeet and Aman, to the scene. Together, they cornered Parvez, locking him inside a room, where a brutal assault ensued.

Armed with a rod, the enraged trio unleashed a merciless barrage of blows upon the hapless young man, their actions driven by a mixture of anger, societal norms, and a misguided sense of protecting their family’s honour. The attack continued until Parvez lay unconscious, his life tragically cut short.

Parvez’s family, residing in Loni, Ghaziabad, expressed their distress over the tragic incident that unfolded on that fateful day. Parvez had left home at approximately 11 a.m., informing his family that he would be meeting some friends. Beyond that, they had no further information about his plans. However, between 5 p.m. and 5:30 p.m., Parvez made a distressing phone call to his younger brother Sameer, urgently seeking his help.

In the phone call, Parvez uttered words that struck fear into Sameer’s heart, saying, “Save me; they are going to kill me.” Regrettably, this alarming phone call would be the last communication the family received from Parvez. Later that evening, they received the devastating news of his death.

Mohammad Asif resident of Ghaziabad, Parvez’s brother, spoke out about the tragedy, describing Parvez as a simple man who was dedicated to his work. Asif questioned why, even if Parvez was involved with a girl, the family wasn’t given the opportunity to hand him over to the police. He expressed his anguish, asking who had granted anyone the authority to mercilessly beat his brother to death. Filled with grief and a desire for justice, Asif emphasised his plea for accountability, saying, “My brother is gone. I want justice for him.”
