Reports, there are reports that a temple dedicated to Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy has been constructed using black granite weighing 2,50,000 tonnes. Approximately 1,280 crores will be spent on the reconstruction of the temple.


The newly reconstructed Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple was inaugurated on Monday in one of the southern state’s areas known as Yadadri Bhuvanagiri. It is being referred to as Telangana chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s dream project.

A large number of government officials attended the grand event. A series of photos showed the chief minister, KCR, participating in the rituals with his family. It will take at least seven days to perform the Vedic rituals for the inauguration of the temple.
Several reports indicate that 2,500 tons of black granite were used in the construction of Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple.


Earlier this year, Rao had invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to join him at an important event – the consecration of the renovated temple complex. PM Modi did not attend the ceremony since the TRS-run state and the central government have been at odds.


The temple is currently being reconstructed for 1,280 crores. Reconstructive work is still going on, with more than 2,000 sculptors and thousands of workers on duty to complete it.

A fusion of Kakatiyan and Dravidian styles of architecture is evident in the temple. Gold is used in the construction of the Prahlada Charithra, the most important and important feature of the temple.

A sculptural representation of Bhakta Prahlada, Prahlada Charithra is a representation of the story of Bhakta Prahlada. Anand Sai, the chief architect of the temple, told news agency ANI that the temple’s footprint has increased from 11 acres to 17 acres. It is the biggest temple built entirely with stone that has ever been built in the world.


A large number of devotees will be present during the Maha Kumbha Samprokshana ceremony, and the authorities have made all necessary arrangements to accommodate them. A large number of devotees can be accommodated at one time at the temple up to 10,000 people. A mechanized and automated prasadam production unit has been established.


It was reported by ANI that devotees at the temple can get unlimited laddu, pulihora, and vada prasadam.
The temple was inaugurated on April 6 after eight days of Ankurarpana (initiation) that began on March 21 accompanied by the ceremonial performance of the Maha Sudarshana Homam in a 75-acre area at the temple’s foothills.


T Chandrashekar Rao, the Telangana chief minister, is slated to inaugurate the newly reconstructed Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district on Monday.


Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and his family will attend the temple’s annual sacred festival ‘Maha Kumbha Samprokshana’. He will be accompanied by his cabinet colleagues.


2,500 tons of black granite go into the construction of this architectural masterpiece. There is a fusion of the Dravidian style and Kakatiyan style of architecture in this temple.

“After the formation of Telangana state, Geeta, Temple Executive Officer, said, “The government decided to reconstruct the Yadadri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple that lies in Yadagirigutta Temple Development Authority (YTDA).

Construction of the temple began in April 2016 after a reconstruction plan was developed by the YTDA.


“A temporary arrangement was put in place for the deity Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy in another temple in April 2016, and now on March 28, the ‘Maha Kumbha Samprokshana’ festival is scheduled, as part of the reopening of the refurbished temple complex,” she said.

The main attraction of the temple is Prahlada Charithra, the sculpture that represents the life story of Bhakta Prahlada, from birth to the end of Hiranyakashyapa. Gold is used for the construction of Prahlada Charithra.

A sculptural representation of Lord Narasimha can also be found, as well as his breaking out of the pillar to kill Hiranyakashyapa, followed by tearing apart his chest.


It is also the site of the sculptures of Anjaneya, Narasimha, and Yada Maharshi who performed penance at this temple, and of Sri Ramanujacharya on the walls, in addition to the sculpture of how Sri Lakshmi Narasimha emerged as a Swayambhu in Yadagirigutta. There is also an Addala Mandapa, where each night the Lord is placed on a swing.

The seven ‘gopurams’ of this temple are unique because they are made entirely from stone, from the bottom to the top. The Maharaja Gopuram on the western entrance is 83 feet tall and is made of 13,000 tonnes of black granite; construction took almost two years.


For parking the ‘Ratham’, a concrete shed has been built, and there is also an additional ‘Golla Mandapa’ built outside the temple, apart from the ‘Praakara mandapa’ and other structures.

In addition, Lord Shiva’s temple has been constructed on a hillock.
In addition to the main temple, as one steps out of the main temple, devotees can also see the 58 pillars of the ‘first Praakara’, a sculpture of Narasimha with the face of a lion, the body of a horse supported by an elephant. These pillars have each been carved from a single black granite stone.


Among the most notable features of the temple is the 11-foot tall garbhalaya door, inlaid with golden Nava Narasimha Swami paintings. It leads devotees into the sanctum sanctorum.


There are 12 Alwar statues inside the temple representing the Kakatiyan style of architecture. These are located around the Mukha Mandapa and lead down to the sanctum sanctorum, which is located 18 feet below ground level.


This temple is quite spacious, as it can accommodate 10,000 devotees at a time. A bathing area has been constructed for devotees to take a holy bath.

During the past five-and-a-half years, the temple has been completely rebuilt at an estimated cost of Rs 1,280 crore, and more than 2,000 sculptors and thousands of workers have been involved in the reconstruction.

Officials have made elaborate arrangements to conduct the Maha Kumbha Samprokshana this Monday. To cope with the large number of devotees expected to arrive on Monday, a variety of arrangements are being made.
On top of the hill, temple management has set up an automated and mechanized prasadam production facility.


It is also learnt that those visiting Yadadri’s temple can gain unlimited access to the temple’s laddu, pulihora and vada prasadam.
