Harnaaz Sandhu of Chandigarh has been crowned Miss Universe 2021.
After defeating contestants from 80 different countries, Harnaaz Sandhu was named Miss Universe 2021, returning India’s reigning Miss Universe crown home for the first time in 21 years. Harnaaz Sandhu is an Indian actress and model who has created history as a model and actress on the big screen.
Only Sushmita Sen and Lara Dutta, two Indian actors, had previously held the Miss Universe crown before Sandhu.
The Miss Israel International competition took place in Eilat, Israel, for the 70th time, and it was there that the 21-year-old was crowned Miss Israel International.

In fact, she was presented with the title by Andrea Meza of Mexico, who had won the contest in 2020 and had been her predecessor. The Chandigarh-based model is currently pursuing a master’s degree in public administration at the University of Pennsylvania.

Despite the fact that Nadia Ferreira, 22, of Paraguay took second place overall, Lalela Mswane, 24, of South Africa took third place overall.

“The urge for today’s young people to believe in themselves is the most significant stressor they are facing.” Your beauty is enhanced by the knowledge that you are one of a kind. Stop comparing yourself to others and instead pay attention to the more significant concerns that are currently affecting the entire planet, such as climate change.
It’s okay to be yourself and express yourself since you are the one in charge of your own life. You are the only person who has the authority to speak for yourself. That is why I am standing here right now; it is because I had faith in myself and my abilities.” She was overjoyed when she was named to the top three of the program, with Miss South Africa and Miss Paraguay, and she communicated her excitement on social media.
A similar question was put to all three ladies, and it was: “What advice would you provide to young women who are watching on how to deal with the issues that they are currently experiencing?”
Lara Dutta and Sushmita Sen were both crowned Miss Universe after answering the final question correctly. In 1994, Sushmita Sen became the first Indian to win the Miss Universe crown when she was crowned Miss Universe. The final question posed to the actor was – “What is it about being a woman that you find most meaningful?” She said, “Yes, of course,” “Being a woman is a blessing from God, and we should be thankful for it. A mother, a woman, is the one who gives birth to a kid. She demonstrates to a man the importance of caring, sharing, and loving. That’s what it means to be a woman, in my opinion.”
In 2000, Lara Dutta has crowned Miss Universe. In those days, protests against the beauty contest erupted calling it a kind of objectification of women. Lara had to convince the demonstrators that they were wrong in the final round. Lara’s response was – “I believe that pageants like the Miss Universe pageant allow us, young women, a platform to strive ahead in the sectors that we desire, whether it is entrepreneurship, military service, or politics. In doing so, it helps us become the strong, self-reliant individuals we are today.”
In addition to Lara Dutta and Sushmita Sen, Miss Universe winner Harnaaz joins the ranks of Indian beauty queens. For the first time, the three winners of the Miss India pageant were included in a video montage posted on Instagram by the Miss Diva pageant’s official handle. This year’s Miss Universe will join the likes of Sushmita Sen (1994), Lara Dutta (2000), as well as the likes of Miss Universe 2021 Harnaz Sandhu in the Miss Universe pantheon.” “I’ve just read the post.
Harnaaz Sandhu referred to herself as “Chak De Phatte” after she was crowned Miss Universe in 2005.
She was one of the first to speak following her victory over Lalela Mswane and Nadia Ferreira in Sunday’s Miss Universe pageant. “Chak De Phatte, India” was among the first words she said after winning the title. Harnaaz Sandhu was just 21 years old when she has crowned Miss Universe.
The official Instagram page of the Miss Universe organization shared a video of Chandigarh’s Sandhu addressing the camera after winning the competition.

Her pageantry career began when she was 17 years old when she competed in and won the Times Fresh Face competition in Chandigarh, where she represented the city of Chandigarh. She went on to win the title of LIVA Miss Diva Universe 2021, which she is now holding.
Sandhu has appeared in a few Punjabi films, including “Yaara Diyan Poo Baran” and “Bai Ji Kuttange,” where he had a supporting role.
It was hosted by Steve Harvey, and it featured performances from American singer JoJo as well as other performers.
It was chaired by Urvashi Rautela, actor and former Miss Universe India 2015; other members of the selection committee were Adamari López, Adriana Lima, Cheslie Kryst, Iris Mittenaere, Lori Harvey, Marian Rivera, and Rena Sofer.
