Hard Work Vs Luck

An average human being always wishes to be lucky than hardworking. This is because they perceive luck as being the easier path to success, which is partially true.

According to a Roman philosopher, lucky events happen when preparation meets opportunity.

Our childhood has taught us that hard work is the only way to achieve our aspirations. There are no shortcuts to success, but we know that some things are out of our control. One of them is luck.

The definition of luck is elusive. In basic terms, luck is that thing that everyone hopes to have in their lives. It is like hoping for something and then you get that thing in life. Does that mean if we don’t get what we expect we are unlucky?

People are always trying to control the results of their actions, but sadly that isn’t possible all the time. God hasn’t given us the power to predict our futures, but he has given us the key to getting what we want: HARDWORK.

Which is more powerful, Hard work or luck?

The best answer might be hard work. The reason is that by working hard, the probability of achieving our goals is much higher than luck.

Luck is highly unpredictable. Even if a person reaches his goal by chance for one time, there is no guarantee that fortune will favor his side again. But hard work is not like that, and perseverence will keep rewarding you until you shy away from it.

How to stay lucky in life?

There is a simple formula to predict luck. That formula is – “THE HARDER YOU WORK, THE LUCKIER YOU GET”.

What difference does it make if a person has achieved his goal by working really hard for it, or getting it by chance?

There is a huge difference. The person who has achieved his goal by pouring sweat day and night knows the value and power of working hard. It gives him confidence in life.

But the person who has achieved his goal by just luck can never have confidence in himself. The reason being that his success was just by chance, and he can never trust that. He cannot be sure that the next time when he faces an obstacle in his life, luck will rescue him.

We know that there is something also called Bad Luck. It is believed to be stronger than Hard work. We strongly believe that reason for our failure is bad luck.

In reality, which is more powerful, Bad luck or Hard work?

Despite working hard, sometimes we fail to get success, and the credit for this goes to Bad luck. Anything is not perfect. Be it our work or anything else. If we fail to reach our goal despite working hard, nobody is to be blamed for it. The best thing to do is to accept the reality and chase the thing which made you fail.

Your hard work may disappoint you one time, but it will make you stronger and a better person so that you achieve something even more remarkable, which you had not expected. Bad luck or failure may be able to defeat you and your hard work for one time. But the ultimate winner will always be your Hard work. The only thing that overcomes bad luck is hard work.

Hard work is like a good friend who trusts you and always is there for you. It might go against you to give you a reality check so that you become a better version of yourself. It stays with you until you work hard.

Luck is highly unpredictable. It can’t be trusted. Instead, it makes you lose confidence in yourself. Luck always seems to be against the person who depends on it. Luck is an illusion that creates false hopes.

There is nothing that can defeat hard work, be it luck or destiny or even talent. Hard work will take you to the top. Luck and talent without hard work can’t reach too far.

It is a well-known saying that THE HARD WORK PUTS YOU WHERE THE GOOD LUCK CAN FIND YOU.

Ultimately, you don’t need more luck. It will help if you work harder and persevere. Your only goal should be to work harder than yesterday. What matters at the end of the day is you have given your best. Your hard work will pay off, be it one year or ten years.
