New Macbook Pros and Airpods To Be ‘Unleashed’ By Apple

It’s just been three weeks since Apple’s latest iPhone 13, 13 Pro series devices entered the market, and the Watch Series 7 is set to arrive this weekend. Now, the Cupertino, California-based technology company is arranging to hold another fall occurrence later this month.

The event comes less than a month after Apple introduced a host of new goods, including four new iPhones, an updated Apple Watch, and new iPads.

Apple has unveiled the date and time of its second online event of the season, which will take place on October 18 at 10:00 a.m. PDT (10:30 pm in India). The company has released a teaser that depicts an Apple logo formed of light beams on a black background with the word “Unleashed,” which looks to be similar to the method used to depict spaceships travelling at high speeds. This may be a reference to the rumoured Apple M1X CPU, which is believed to be at the core of future MacBook Pro and Mac Mini versions. Apple has made no formal proposals or confirmations on what may be unveiled at the virtual event.

Now that the larger number of the next-generation iPhones, Watches, and iPads have been announced this year, the remaining product category that requires a refresh is Macs, notably the MacBook Pro, which was last updated five years ago.

Aside from the new MacBook, Apple is expected to unveil a new line of Mac minis featuring either the M1X or M2 chipsets, as well as AirPods 3. The latter was expected to launch the previous month alongside the iPhone 13 series, but it did not. It is predicted to have a shorter stem as well as improved audio delivery in terms of spatial audio listening experience.

The company also claims that the laptop will have a Mini-LED display and that the bezels around the screen will be so small that the bottom bezel will be devoid of MacBook branding. Apple was evaluating a 120Hz refresh rate for the MacBook series, but it is unknown if the laptop would support the highest refresh rate at launch.

What can we expect from the MacBook Pro?

The MacBook Pro, one of Apple’s most foreseen gadgets of the year, is most likely to be released. Premium laptops are available in 14-inch and 16-inch display sizes. The 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro basic gadgets would include 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. This is comparable to the high-end 13-inch and 16-inch versions of the current generation. The MacBook Pros will be powered by a considerably more powerful processor than the current M1 chip. The new chipset is being named the “M1X,” although it may be given a different name when it is released. According to rumours, we may witness the addition of two extra cores to the CPU, which will improve the performance of the laptops.

In terms of GPU, Apple may seek to increase visual performance in its next MacBook Pros by including 16-core and/or 32-core GPUs. This will be an improvement over the M1 chip’s 8-core GPU.

Another significant change will be the camera, which is expected to be 1080p on the next laptops. Both base versions are expected to have the same configuration and M1X chipset.

Apple introduced the MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, and Mac mini with the M1 CPU in November of last year. Last year’s Mac event was dubbed “One More Thing,” and it served as the final major event following the release of the Apple Watch and iPad in September, followed by the iPhone launch event in October.

According to reports, the next 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models will come with a new charging brick. Previously, it was claimed that Apple’s future laptops will include a new MagSafe charging connector.

A Mini LED panel, which is anticipated to offer excellent contrast and enhanced brightness, would be a significant addition to the computers, increasing picture quality. In terms of connectors, we may expect a new MagSafe connector, an SD card slot, and an HDMI port.

In terms of pricing, the rumour suggests that the next MacBook Pro models would be priced similarly to how the laptops are now priced. We’ll have to wait until next week’s launch event for additional information.

Aside from the new MacBook Pro, let’s have a look at the revamped Mac Mini and AirPods 3.

What can we expect from the Mac Mini?

The Mac Mini is anticipated to get some design updates as well as performance boosts from the improved “M1X” CPU. It’s foreseen to include up to 64GB of RAM, four Thunderbolt 4 connections, two USB-A ports, and a magnetic charging cord. Even though we expect to see these updated features in the new Mac Mini, we don’t know if it will be available next week.

What can we expect from AirPods 3?

According to @ PineLeaks, the AirPods 3 will be updated and have great bass than the second-generation earphones. Wireless charging is foreseen to be a regular feature, and the charging case is expected to have a 20% bigger battery.

Because these AirPods were not introduced at the September unveiling alongside the iPhone 13 series, we may see them at the following week’s event.

It’s also a possibility that we’ll get a sneak glimpse at the next version of Mac Pro. After all, Apple stated two years ago that it will complete its move to the ARM platform by the end of 2021, and the Mac Pro is currently the only gadget in the company’s portfolio that does not have an ARM-based model.

We’ll have to wait and see how many of these rumours and propositions come true with only six days left.

The Apple Unleashed incident will kick off at 10:00 a.m. PDT (10:30 p.m. in India), and fans may watch it live on the company’s website and official YouTube channel. Apple has disclosed the new iPhone 13 series, iPad (9th generation), and 5G-enabled iPad mini previous this month.
