“Friends” fame, James Michael Tyler, dies at 59
“Friends” is one of the series that we have known for a long time. It is a series that kept running for many years. James Michael Tyler, who was one of the most reccurring guest stars of the series, died at the age of 59. Some of the series’ stars like Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, and Matt LeBlanc posted tributes for the late actor on social media.
James Michael Tyler, who played the role of ‘Gunther’, died in Los Angeles at his home, from prostate cancer according to the reports. Earlier in 2018, James was diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer. James also appeared in series like “Just Shoot Me” and “Sabrina the Teenage Witch” in the 1990s.
In the beginning, James was cast with not a single line of dialogue in the series “Friends” until he made his thirty-three appearances in the show. Later on, in the total episode count of 236, James Michael Tyler appeared in 150.
After the series ‘Friends”, he was seen in the Modern Music, Scrubs, and also in an episode of Matt LeBlanc’s show in 2012.
Witness heard Rs 8 crore bribe: Aryan Khan drug case
The drug case involving the son of Shahrukh Khan, Aryan Khan, is getting more and more complicated with each passing day. Now, the bodyguard of witness K P Gosavi has said that he heard K P Gosavi say that Rs 8 crore will be given to the Zonal Director of Narcotics Control Bureau, Sameer Wankhede. A witness has also claimed that investigators took the signature of Aryan Khan on ten blank sheets forcefully at the office of NCB on the day of the cruise raid.
Gosavi is one of the NCB witnesses for the cruise drug case against Aryan Khan and several cheating cases are already registered against the name of K P Gosavi. The Narcotics Control Bureau denied all of Gosavi’s allegations claiming that he feared being killed by NCB. NCB said that the matter has been referred to the higher authorities and at the same time, Sameer Wankhede said that it is an attempt to trap him in a false case.
Sunburn to take place in December
Everything is getting back to normal, and with that, one of the biggest music fests of Asia is all set to get the music fever on. Last year, the fest Sunburn took place via digital medium with no fans present there on the ground, but this year, the festival is all set to gear up; it will be a three-day show that will take place from December 28th to December 30th in Goa at Vagator.
This will be the 15th edition of the Sunburn Festival, and with access only to the fully vaccinated audience as a security measure as announced by the organizers. They also added that they will follow the health guidelines and safety measures of the government strictly. The festival will have limited passes to maintain social distancing and also for the safety of the audience.
This year, the festival will feature over sixty local artists as well as the international artist, across three stages and the organizers will collaborate with many cafes and clubs. The festival will be streamed live so that the fans can enjoy it from the comforts of their home too.
Kashmiri students attacked post India-Pakistan match
Cricket matches between India and Pakistan always generate high excitement but some people takeit in a wrong way and many innocent have to deal with it. An incident came to report when a video was shared by the students of Bhai Gurdas Institute of Engineering and Technology from Sangrur district in Punjab. The video showed an attack inside the college hostels after the match.
After India lost the match to Pakistan in the ongoing ICC T-20 World Cup, a video came out in which we can see a few Kashmiri students being assaulted in Kharar, Mohali, and Sangrur. Those students were rescued by a few other Punjabi students and locals. It was reported that the students from the states of Haryana, Bihar, and Uttar Pradesh entered into the rooms of Kashmiri students forcefully and thrashed them.
During the match, the Kashmiri students cheered when Pakistan was scoring runs and they also raised some of the Azadi slogans. After the match got over, some students from UP, Bihar went into the rooms and started a fight. An Apology has been offered from both sides in front of the college authority and police, and the issue has been sorted out.
Apart from this, four students were beaten and assaulted in Mohali after the match. All the students belong to Rayat Bharat University and said that they were hit by several goons from Haryana. This raises the concern over the security of the Kashmiri students in Punjab.
Picasso artworks auctioned
Picasso is known for his art and the way he used the paintbrush as a weapon to steal the hearts of many, making him the legend in the field of art. From many of the artworks, eleven have been sold for a combined amount of $109 million in Las Vegas on the occasion of Pablo Picasso’s 140th birthday.
At Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art’s Picasso restaurant, the nine paintings and two ceramic pieces had been kept on display for more than two decades, and earlier this year, the owner of MGM Resorts decided to sell them. The auction featured the artwork of Pablo Picasso from the years 1917 to 1969.
According to the reports, the famous Picasso’s portrait of 1938, entitled “Femme au beret rouge orange”, meaning woman in a reddish-orange hat, was sold for $40.5 million. The painting was last sold in the 1980s for around $900,000. The auction also featured two Cubist-inspired still life paintings from the early 1940s, which included the “Nature morte au panier de fruits et aux fleurs” which was sold for $16.6 million, and the “Nature morte aux fleurs et au compotier” that was sold for $8.3 million.
