The horrific year 2021 will it return?

On one hand, where everyone still remembers the horrific scene during the second wave of coronavirus in 2021 and is getting back on track, a new variant named Omicron is already standing at the door.

During the first wave we didn’t learn enough like people ignored wearing mask and maintaining social distancing and in the second wave government could not arrange for the oxygen cylinders, people died looking for the beds in hospital and injections but everything failed and now can we say that the year 2021 will be back due to our negligence?

Around the globe, many cases of Omicron variant were detected and now two cases of omicron variant are found in Karnataka. No one knows that the vaccination is sufficient to fight this variant or not and people are still thinking that the situation is normal but do you remember December 2020, it was normal but that came out as the silence before a storm which took many things away and the government was not so supportive at that time.

From oxygen to injections government could not handle the black marketing and apart from that many were making money. Hospitals looted the patients in such a tough time and everyone how much government is against the black market.

2021

To tackle this Omicron variant government came up with a strategy after two cases of the same variant were detected in India. As per the reports, the symptoms are in mild condition, for now, meanwhile, according to Dr. Balram Bhargava it is very premature to talk about the effectiveness of the vaccine unless they isolate the virus and test them in the laboratory.

Along with them, even the vaccine manufactures are testing on the variant and the vaccine efficiency. On asking what are the strategies the government has thought to tackle the situation, the health ministry said that no one should panic and should strictly follow the guidelines and wear a mask and maintain proper distancing, but can we find social distancing in the nation. Remember the first day when the liquor shops were opened by the government amid a pandemic, the scenario speaks itself.

When people say about the financial emergency, the government denies it but you can understand automatically what has been going for the last two years. It seems that government does not learn from its mistakes in the first wave people were not getting masks and sanitizers, in the second waver people were not getting oxygen and beds, so what’s next.

A Few days ago the government said that the virus is under control so there is as such no need to rush for kids vaccination but what if the variant affects them, where the government tries to hide things they did not try to make those things possible.

On asking about the lockdown, Dr. V K Paul, the head of India’s Covid-19 task told us that there is no need to impose any kind of lockdown but also added that there should be fears in our mind and also the responsibility to be safe. He has asked to avoid the crowd but do we accept so easily until and unless we face the situation.

Apart from this we have Uttar Pradesh elections coming up, last year the same time West Bengal election and at that, the election campaign was not stopped not even by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, that campaign was more important than the spread of coronavirus so will the history repeat itself during the Uttar Pradesh elections, the election campaigning has begun with every force but will Omicron is powerful enough to stop the campaign, the same condition was in Assam ministers from the various state went over there for the election promotion and brought coronavirus with them as a return gift, all these happened at the time of February 2021 and March 2021.

Why Bengal's Elections Are Far More Complex than TMC's Corruption and BJP's Communal Drive

The most important thing here is done we understand the seriousness even after losing the family members, all these are affecting all the sectors and especially the educational, even a kid is now addicted to a mobile phone because of the online classes. A parent is ready to take his/her child to a restaurant or a mall that is fully crowded or a party but is still scared to send them to school so that they won’t get infected. Firstly people neglect the situation and when they have to face the lockdown they just blame it on others.

Recently after it was announced about the confirmed cases of Omicron, Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister of Delhi said that it is very sad to say that even after knowing India did not stop the flights from the affected countries. The CM already requested PM Modi to stop the flights from the nation where the variants are detected. Looking into the present condition it looks like history is repeating itself.
