TOMB OF KHUDAWAND KHAN7 Historical Places In Surat To Send You Back In Historical Time

Khudawand Khan’s Tomb was created in memory of Khudawand Khan, the ancient governor of Surat. The tomb is a blatant brownish building found near Chakla Bazaar. He is reported to have done much for the city’s economy and established it as a business area, for which it is still known today. The mausoleum is lovely and worth exploring, with sparkling Islamic cartoons and fabulous architecture.

In reality, a tablet containing information about Khudawand Khan and his life has been set in the tomb site. The neighbouring Chakla Bazaar is among Surat’s most favourite shopping stops, where one can find classical Bandhni dupattas, accoutrements such as cloth purses and jootis, and glass bangles.
