‘Amina’ Fails To Hit Bull’s Eye: Movie Review

Amina is an integrated film directed by Izu Okukwa and produced by Okechukwu Ogunjiofor. Actors Lucy Ameh, Clarion Chukwura, Ali Nuhu and Magaji Mijinyawa in the lead role.

The film is 105 minutes long. Amina is a true 16th-century true story surrounding the hero of the Zazzau kingdom Queen Amina. He uses his military skills and tactics to protect his family’s empire.

The movie depicts the amazing legacy of a woman as one attests to her professional and personal life. He teaches him to always looks into the eyes of his enemy and faces every single hurdle and challenge to pave the way for himself and the people of his kingdom.

It begins with a series of two Zazzau people fighting in front of the king and the whole kingdom and arguing with each other for liberation. They do not want to be slaves. Zazzau women are trafficked and oppressed. Opposition male domination is more visible and visible. I did not like discrimination against men and women, as women are treated as objects, their voices are silenced, and their views are not heard in the film.

On the other side is Princess Amina, a young, curious and hard-hearted girl who wants to learn how to use a sword. In the Zazzau kingdom, the girl was never taught the art of using weapons of war, but Amina convinced her father, the day of Zazzau, who ruled over seven kingdoms. Masaki is his secretary. The Zazzau kingdom extends from Kano to the Niger River, from Idah to Jukunland.

I loved that in spite of being born into a world surrounded by vicious conflicts, the fantasies of strange animals and timeless cultures, Amina paved her own way by dealing with various hardships but still coming out of it all as a myth. She assured me that Amina was not afraid of anyone.

Destiny had different plans for Amina, the story went on, and the pastor showed her the way to Daura to save her people and her sister Zaria went with her. The film sounds like an in-depth study of the worthy characters as we direct their lives and see their transformation. It was shot in Nigeria, and its post-production took place in Europe.

He tasted his share of pain, love and pain as a real hero. Not only that, he fought against all odds that life helped him with great courage and conviction. His intention led to his conclusion.

He intended to create a humane and humane Zazzau people. Amina is the epitome of a courageous, brave, and fearless woman who always believes in herself and is not afraid of taking and making difficult decisions or paths to get what she wants. T

he movie made us realize that if you are extremely willing to do something in your life, do not wait for miracles to happen, but rather follow through and make your own decisions. He is a leading leader who paves the way for his people the way to freedom.

The film is well organized and has been a bright and exciting experience for me. The actors have given a full-fledged drama. Everything from their speech to the costumes is believable and straightforward. In-depth storytelling and concert notes make it very popular. The sequence of action seems to be shot perfectly. All in all, a very good film: this could be a great film, which takes cinematic level another note high.

Amina is a co-produced film covering three continents in Africa, Europe and America. In period drama, the director used a sequence of narratives. This means that the events are mostly presented in chronological order; that is, they mean events in chronological order. Thus, we see a plot that dates back to the 16th century when the young Queen ruled the Zazzau empire.

Although the story is simple, with the use of English, Hausa and Igala languages, the movie is full of action and briefly depicts the life and wonderful times and yet, the beauty of Amina, the princess of the young and fearless hero. Although born into a violent society, she conquered the Zazzau regime and became the first and foremost Sarki woman in Nigerian history.

The actors in the movie had been training before the game, where they actually started camping for three months and were prepared to use swords and ride horses to fight horses before they began to shoot properly, according to Ogunjiofor. In addition, the filmmaker ensured that every character acquired different skills such as horseback riding and swords and shields. Ogunjiofor deserves a lot of praise as an amazing filmmaker, managing more than a thousand members and staff, and overseeing the whole production process, which took 25 years to complete, is by no means a trivial matter.

The film refines the production design, especially in the scenes set in the past, with well-crafted 16th-century imitations. Moreso, many ancient mud and stone buildings were erected on the site, closely resembling the castle of Queen Amina, dating to the 16th century.

AMINA 2021 on Netflix: Release Date, Trailer, Starring and more

The film ‘Amina’ is to be applauded for its state-of-the-art technology, visual presentation and unique performance. The costumes and locations were also another amazing high-end movie trailer because it reflects the background of the movie history. In addition, the soundtracks were appropriate for all the scenes used.

It also underscores that Nollywood has technically and technologically advanced; I mean, the days when audio songs tell the whole movie are gone. Consider the 1990s in Nollywood. The best thing about ‘Amina’ is its foundation.

Nollywood has to open its doors to historical movies and the greatest example to have seen already. Very little is known about Nigerian history, so, through film, a new generation can gain a deeper understanding of the country’s rich heritage.

Dictionary and Dialogue also work, yet there are limits, showing too much at the moment, and in the case of the characters’ interactions, they could have been better, but they have shown enough that you know very well that it does not appear at this time. There is something strange about the language that seems to be ineffective in 2021 that is what makes this film so credible.

Amina also has a beautiful place of her own. Cinematography and effects, in which the heroes are freed from the heads, and the throat is cut off; and again, in the sense that it expresses itself.

There is a believable state, both physically and mentally, of the battlefield, for example. Amina has her flaws, and some of them look like they should have been corrected. But to say that this is more affected than missing would be an understatement. Izu Ojukwu captures the story to be told, and he does well to turn it into a film to watch.
