Rahman, Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhosle, Anuradha Paudwal, Jagjit Singh, and many more such singers who brought their supreme work for people of the country and the 90s Hindi music is not only recognized in India and other south-Asian countries but also the whole world.

Europeans love listening to and covering Indian music as much as love watching Indian movies. The thing to note here is that the timeless talent of Kishore Kumar and R.D. Burman never goes out of style, as much as we like to listen to new and trending music, we always feel like going to our roots once in a while which makes us craves to listen to R.D. Burman or Mohammad Rafi.

From the 80s to the early 2000s people were still listening to movie albums but the scenario changed in the 21st century as many musical artists started producing their works rather than looking for any production company to fabricate them and promote their songs.

These unfettered artists have been in the industry for a long but they came into attention since 2015-2016 and ever since the release of fan-favorite gully boy, based on the life and struggles of hip-hop artist Divine, the rise in the recognition of them individually and their works can be seen in every corner of the country.

As the times are changing the majority of independent singers are getting recognized for their hard work and long hours of creating the type of music they want people to listen to and they don’t have to rely on releasing their music as part of movie albums as the population likes to listen to the type of music that calms their soul after the hectic work hours or give them energy or motivation or the music that matches their taste whether it’s the songs from movie albums or independent artists making their music and producing it.

It is no surprise that actors also try their hands in several fields other than acting and music is one of them, though they are not making or composing the music of their movies but singing it.

Alia Bhatt sang songs like ‘Samjhawan’ unplugged for her movie ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dhulania’ and ‘Sooha Saaha’ for ‘Highway’ which was screened at the 64th Berlin International Film Festival’, just like Alia, Parineeti also ventured in singing, her first song which she sang was for her movie called ‘Meri Pyaari Bindu’, ‘Mana Ke Hum Yaar Nahin’ but it was her second song ‘Teri Mitti’(Female Version) which she sang for her film war drama ‘Kesari’ with Akshay Kumar that made the audience comprehend her talent of singing. Neha Kakkar is becoming the voice of India considering the Indian audience is already swooned by her voice and it takes no genius to realize that her songs trend as soon as they release.

Nowadays, artists like Prateek Kuhad, Darshan Raval, Shirley Setia are getting more and more acknowledged not only in India but globally for their unconventional songs. The rock band called Local Train formed in 2008 based in New Delhi is becoming people-favorite with their enchantingly beautiful music.

Listen to the songs Choo Lo and Aaoge Tum Kabhi from their album called Aalas Ka Pedh which made them the YouTube sensation. Just like The Local Train, there is another band though their genre is pop, When Chai Met Toast, the pop band originated in 2014, their songs like Khooj, Kahani, and When We Feel Young made them India’s treasured pop band.

Now, the famous singers namely Armaan Malik is stepping in the shoes of A.R. Rahman by collaborating globally in producing music, after releasing his English singles like ‘Control’ and ‘Next 2 me’, he produced his next song ‘Echo’ with American music producer KSHMR and sang it with K-pop artist Eric Nam which garnered two million views on YouTube in 24 hours. The day is not far when these amazingly talented creators will rule the global music industry with their art. Watch out for them!
