Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello Breaks up after 2 Years of Dating
After Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid’s begrime break-up after their 5 years on-off relationship comes to the news of splitting up of another Hollywood’s favorite couple. Shawn Mendes, 23- year old singer and songwriter hailing from Canada broke up with his Cuban-American girlfriend Camila Cabello.
After 2 years of an intense relationship, the couple broke up on 17 November 2021. The pair started dating in July 2019, before that both of them have claimed to be best friends and support to each other. The couple announced their breakup in a joint statement on Instagram stating they will continue to be friends and love each other as humans.
It comes as a shock to all the Shawmila fans around the world that the couple parted their separate ways on Wednesday given recently both of them celebrated Halloween together and ‘Senorita’ singers celebrated their 2- years relationship anniversary on 4 July 2021.
The couple thanked their fans for always supporting them from the beginning in their separate IG posts and asked them to keep showering them with love in the future. On the career front, American-Cuban Singer-songwriter Camila Cabello released one of her songs ‘Don’t Go Yet’ from her upcoming third studio album called ‘Familia’ on 23 July 2021. The song was described to have been influenced by Latin pop music.
The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon had its debut performance. ‘Don’t Go Yet’ earned the platinum in Spain in November 2021 and it was certified Gold in Italy in October 2021. She released her second single from the album called ‘Oh Na Na’ on October 29, 2021.
Cabello recently performed for ‘Tiny Desk’ where she released her new song ‘La Buena Vida’ from her upcoming album titled, ‘Familia’ whereas Canadian singer Shawn Mendes released his fourth studio album, ‘Wonder’ on 4 December 2021, it was released by Island Records.
Mendes collaborated with fellow Canadian pop singer Justin Bieber on one of the songs from ‘Wonder’ called ‘Monster’. The single reached the number eight on US Hot 100 and it peaked at number 1 on Canadian Hot 100. Shawn will hit the ground with his ‘Wonder World Tour’ in March 2022, in Europe.
Camila was part of the ‘Fifth Harmony’, formed on the second season of ‘The X Factor USA’ in 2012 finishing second in the competition and Mendes rose to prominence or popularity after getting noticed by record labels for posting song covers on his YouTube and videos on vine app.
The pair came to know each other when they both opened for Austin Mahone’s Live On Tour, Cabello as part of Fifth Harmony, and Shawn as soloist.
Camila Cabello declared her departure from the group and embarked as a solo artist. Her first studio album named ‘Camila’ was released on January 12, 2018, ‘Havana’ released on August 3, 2017, in collaboration with Young Thug became the most popular and recognized song from the album.
They became close on the Austin Mahone’s Live On Tour and before starting dating in 2019, they both have dated separate people after starting their careers in the music industry, Mendes is rumored to have dated Hailey Baldwin Bieber, now Justin Bieber’s wife and actress Chloe Grace Moretz in 2016 when the actress commented on his shirtless picture and the fans couldn’t keep their calm.
