Delhi Has Made Masks Mandatory Again In The Public

Government officials said today that residents of Delhi must wear masks in public places. In a report saying more COVID-19 cases were being brought, it warned that those found violating the rule would face a fine of rupees 500. Individuals travelling by private cars, however, do not need to wear masks.

The mask rule has been relaxed recently, however, due to an increase in Covid cases, the authorities require masks to be worn in public places.

An official from Maharashtra said today that the state has now reported 121 COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of cases to 78,76,503, while the death toll remained unchanged at 1,47,831. According to him, the additions to the tally and toll on Thursday were 179 and 1, respectively. In all, 77,27,855 patients have recovered from drug or alcohol addiction and 66 have been discharged most recently, leaving the state with 817 active cases, he said.

Similarly, Delhiites must wear masks in public places, the state government announced today. There are a growing number of COVID-19 cases, so violators will be fined a minimum of $500, the rule says. However, those travelling in private cars are not required to wear masks.

Although the mask rule was eased recently, the authorities have made masks mandatory in public places because of the increase in Covid cases.

The Delhi government on Friday issued guidelines for schools stating that students and staff should not be allowed to enter school buildings without thermal scanning.

According to the report, parents should tell their children to refrain from going to school if they test positive for the Coronavirus.

According to the government, students should also be encouraged not to share lunches or stationery items.

There has been an increase in COVID-19 cases in the national capital over the past few days.
