Some comforting news is that Ganguly has been double vaccinated and is unlikely to have been seriously affected by the virus. As President of BCCI, he has travelled extensively and participated in all professional activities.

He was hospitalized late  Monday night after his 49-year-old RTPCR report turned out to be positive. However, hospitalization is only a precautionary measure.  His care has been transferred to the Woodlands Nursing Home. The BCCI source tracking Ganguly’s health told PTI that he is receiving medication and is now stable.

Ganguly had some health problems this year. He was hospitalized twice in 2021. This includes incidents related to heart problems that have undergone emergency angioplasty. His brother, Snehasish Ganguly, also tested positive for COVID earlier this year. However, after the COVID test, Ganguly was negative for RTPCR.

Over the past week, the increase in the number of Covid19-positive infections in different parts of India has been very dramatic. Due to the rapid increase in the number of new cases, regulations are being enforced in some cities across the country. Delhi and Mumbai are at the top of the chart for new cases of Covid, especially with the new Omicron variants.

For Covid cases in India, 6,358 new cases and 6,450 recovery cases have been reported in the last 24 hours. The number of Omicron cases continues to grow, with the latest number showing 653 confirmed cases. The number of valid cases in India is currently  75,456. The current recycling rate is  98.40%.  Recently, Ganguly was quoting the news for all the wrong reasons.

The BCCI chief recently commented that Virat Kohli was asked not to resign as captain of the T20. This statement contradicted Kori, who admitted that he had not been contacted by Ganguly. Ganguly happens to be one of the most famous captains in India. He is also believed to have formed the team following the match-fixing scandal that rocked Indian cricket. The 49-year-old Ganguly is reportedly stable and doesn’t have to worry, but the doctor advised him not to self-isolate and instead to be hospitalized for certain existing conditions.

This is the same hospital where Ganguly was treated for heart disease earlier this year. A former Indian captain suffered from cardiac arrest and underwent angioplasty at the Woodlands Nursing Home.

Ganguly has been extensively involved in interacting with the media. Around the time of the T20 World Cup, the former captain travelled from India to the United Arab Emirates and recently participated in several media interactions.

Not long ago, BCCI’s president also participated in the BCCI AGM Festival match at  Eden Gardens in Kolkata. In this match, Ganguly’s XI President was defeated by Jay Shah’s XI Secretary.

Ganguly was recently seen in an interaction with the show ” Backstage with Boria” . There he talked about various topics such as his chances at upcoming ICC events in India and how he persuaded Rahul Dravid and VVS Luxman to take their heads.

About the role of trainer and NCA. Ganguly also praised Rohit Sharma’s takeover as captain of India’s ODI and T20I and praised the winners of individual matches such as R Ashwin. Ganguly is at the centre of the controversy over the dismissal of Virat Kohli as India’s ODI captain.

The BCCI boss said in a conversation with the media that the board had asked Kori to continue as India’s T20I captain, but the star batter disagreed. But Kori’s story is in stark contrast to Gangley’s version, which revealed that India’s Test captain’s decision to resign as  T20I captain was well received.

This caused turmoil in the Indian media and fans, and people wondered what the truth was. Many former cricket players, including former Indian head coach Ravi Shastry, have shared their thoughts on this issue.
