GOVERNMENT JOBS IN INDIA: SECURE FUTURE

It is no wonder that people everywhere in the world want a happy and secure future with their families and not only in terms of emotional but financial as GOVERNMENT JOBS IN INDIA: SECURE FUTURE. The population of society wants to have an economically settled tomorrow.

That is our purpose to discuss the government jobs in the world’s second most populated country, India today.

In India, people especially strive to work in government jobs keeping in mind the GDP of the nation which is getting lower and lower and in return negatively impacting the financial state of a human working in private enterprises.

The central government had a vacancy of 18.5% precluding the armed forces and the railway had the highest amount of vacant positions with 2.42 lakh depleted jobs.

Many public sector jobs interest the civilization for which they have to crack certain exams such as IBPS(Institute of Banking Personnel Selection) for IBPS clerk exam for clerical positions or IBPS PO exam for probationary officers and SSC(Staff Selection Commission) for varying government posts likely SSC CGL(Staff Selection Commission, Combined Graduate Level) for public sector posts such as exercise inspector, secretariat service, CAG(Comptroller and Auditor General), Intelligence Bureau, Central Vigilance Commission and many more.

So, today we are going to talk about one such government exam and its various components –CAT(Commission Admission Test).

What is CAT? 

CAT(Commission Admission Test) is a computer-based entrance exam for admission in MBA(Master’s in Business Administration) conducted by IIM(Indian Institute of Management) and other respective business colleges of India. IIM conducts this exam every year on a rotational basis.

The Commission Admission Test 2020 was conducted by IIM Indore on 29th November 2020 and the result for the same was declared on January 05th,2021. The CAT 2021 is being supervised by IIM Ahmedabad and Professor MP Ram Mohan, faculty at IIM, has been appointed as the CAT 2021 chairperson.

The registration for CAT 2021 had begun from the first week of August 2021 and the exam will be held on 28th November 2021 for admission to the MBA 2022 in IIM colleges and other 50+ business schools in the country.

The registration and exam fees submitted by the General and NC-OBC category students will be Rs.2000/- and the SC/ST/PWD candidate will pay Rs.1000/- for the same.

Exam Notifications and News 

The CAT 2021 notification was announced in the last week of July on 30th July 2021 and the registration for the exam will begin in the first week of August 2021 on 4 August 2021.

The last date for the submission of the CAT 2021 registration form or application form was 22nd September 2021 in the second last week of September 2021.

The correction date in case of any errors in the application form for the exam of CAT 2021 was between 25th September 2021 to 27th September 2021. The admit card for the CAT 2021 was available for candidates on 27th October 2021.

It is advised that Admit card is the mandatory document to carry to be allowed to sit in the exam. The mock test for the CAT exam 2021 was held in the first week of November 2021.

The date for the CAT 2021 exam official tutorial release was most likely the first week of November 2021 in which a video was released to help students understand the guidelines of the exam and the main exam for CAT 2021 will be conducted on the 28th of November 2021, Sunday.

The date for the CAT 2021 response sheet and question paper release; and start and end date to challenge the CAT Answer key 2021 will be set in the first week of December 2021.

The final answer key for CAT 2021 will likely be released in the last week of December 2021 and the results for CAT 2021 will be released in the first week of January 2022. The last step of the procedure that is the selection process will most likely start in the month of April to June 2022.

Eligibility Criteria for CAT Exam 2021

Candidates appearing for the CAT exams 2021 are eligible only if they have completed their bachelor’s degree in any field by any university or college affiliated by UGC(University Grant Commission), engineering degree i.e. B. Tech or B.E.

From any university or college recognized by MHRD(Ministry of Human Resource Development) or AICTE(All India Council for Technical Education) with 50% aggregate marks and 45% aggregate marks for PwD/SC/ST.

Students with backlogs during their graduation program often ask if they are eligible to apply for the CAT exams, it is good news for them as they can apply for the CAT exam 2021 without any problems.

Ineligible for CAT Exam

  1. If the candidate has scored less than 50% aggregate marks(45% for PwD/SC/ST) in her/his degree is not eligible to apply for the CAT exam 2021.
  2. The students in pursuance of both their bachelor’s degree and professional degree but not have completed yet are unqualified to appear in CAT 2021.
  3. If the candidate’s bachelor’s and professional degree is not recognized by MHRD/AICTE/UGC, he or she will be incompetent to apply for the CAT 2021.

Guidelines of the Exam

  • Identity Proof- It is requisite for candidates to carry one identity proof i.e. Aadhaar Card or Voter ID card.
  • Admit Card- Applicants sitting in the exam are required to carry their admit card as, without it, they will not be allowed to sit in the exam.

Exam Pattern for CAT 2021 

The sections for the CAT Exam 2021 will be in the following order:

  1. Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension(VARC).
  2. Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning(DILR); and
  3. Quantitative Aptitude(QA).

There will be 76 total questions: 26 questions of VARC( 21 MCQs and 5 Non-MCQs), 24 ILR questions( 18 MCQs questions and 6 Non-MCQs) and 26 of them will involve quantitative aptitude( 20 MCQs & 6 Non-MCQs).

Out of 120 minutes, applicants will be given 40 minutes to complete each section. Each correct answer carries 3 marks, negative marking(-1) is inevitable for every wrong answer but negative marking will not pertain to the Non-MCQ questions.
