Kanch Madir
Kanch Mandir, or you can call it Temple of glass. The Kanch Mandir is a famous Jain temple built by Seth Hukumchand Jain, and the construction began around 1903.
Many other Jain temples are known as Kanch Mandir across India, like Vrindavan, Shivpuri, Kanpur, and other places. The Kanch Mandir is built using white stone, and when we talk about the architecture, it is designed like a medieval mansion with shikhara and a balcony.
The interior of the Kanch Mandir is wholly covered with mosaics and glass panels everywhere, like the walls, ceilings, columns, and floor. The craftsmen were hired from Iran as well as from Gujrat, it is made with the medieval touch of Jains, and the glasses mirrors used in the Kanch Mandir are multicolored.
You will experience the stories from the Jain tradition, idols of Tirthankaras, some concepts of the religion like Sapta Vyasan, Asta Karma, etc., some historical events. Lalbagh Palace
The Lalbagh Palace is one beauty that will give you a glimpse of the European region. The palace is a residential area of Holkar Maharaja, it was constructed in 1926 and was built with the Italian Revival Architecture.
The ASI inscribed the palace as a protected monument (Archaeological Survey of India). The residence palace is spread over 28 acres of land and is one of the interesting places to visit in Indore. You will have a glimpse of the city’s heritage and will give the feel of the lavish lifestyles of the rulers.
You will see the grand chandeliers, rich Persian carpets, Italian columns, and many more. The place is now converted into a museum, so you can have the testimony of the grand palace & the living style. Every year, a Malwa Utsav is organized to showcase the place’s culture. The palace is open for tourists from 10 am to 5 pm but remains closed on Mondays. It is an excellent location for photography and architecture.
Khajrana Ganesh Temple
The Khajrana Ganesh Temple was built during the reign of the Holkar Dynasty and is dedicated to Lord Ganesha. By saying Holkar dynasty, it was built in 1935 by Maharani Ahilyabai Holkar (the queen).
The idol of Lord Ganesha placed in the Temple was retrieved from a well where it was hidden to keep it safe from the Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb. The locality around the Temple is developed and is maintained by the DM of Indore. Some other temples are dedicated to other gods, and the Temple is very well maintained. The positive vibes will drive you away to a different world, and seeking the blessing of God is the best thing.
Avoid going on Wednesdays & Sundays as you have to face long queues.
Rajwada
One of the known historical palaces in the city of Indore was built by the Maratha Empire and the Holkars. The building was constructed two centuries ago. Rajwada is a seven-story building that is one of the city’s highlight spots. You will get to experience the glimpse of royalty and the architectural skills that you might haven’t seen anywhere else.
Indore is a city related to the kings and the Rajwadas, making it a culture to make the tourists feel royal.
The palace is a blend of Maratha style, and the structure is divided into two parts where one part lies in the heart of the city, but the other one is in the old part of the town. You will get the lavish entry with the giant wooden doors covered with iron studs and the lofty archway.
In the palace, the upper floors are made up of wood, but the three floors from the bottom are stone.
One part of the building was constructed in the year 1766, and the other part was reconstructed around 1812 as the fire damaged it. Here you can see the fantastic craftsmanship of Muslim artists who worked for Maratha.

Patalpani Waterfall
Indore is famous for its heritage places, but it has many things for nature enthusiasts as well. The Patalpani Waterfall is located in the Mhow district in Rajwadas, and the fall is situated in the Choral River.
You can experience the amazing view of the waterfall at any season but the best picture you will get is just after the rainy season. The location is very famous as a picnic spot, and even you can plan trekking with your squad and compete at the waterfall.
The name comes as people believe that the water goes deep at the bottom, same as patal, which in Indian mythology for underworld that is why it is called Patal Pani waterfalls.

Annapurna Temple

Sarafa Market
If we say this as heaven for foodies, it won’t be wrong. Sarafa Bazar is one of the biggest food hubs in India with a lot of varieties of food that you can’t cover in a day. In every store, you will find some of the other things that make it a food hub and one of the places that remain in the spotlight due to its taste & aroma.
Even if you are not a die-hard fan of foods, but once you get into this place, it will make you go crazy. You won’t be able to control yourself. It is a gem of Indore city, which has many things to offer like Dahi Bade, Bhutte ki Kees, different flavours of paani puri, etc and the taste is different from other places.
You can have unique sweet dishes like Rabri Jalebi, Malpua, Mawa Baati so in short, the Sharifa Market will satisfy your taste buds, and you won’t think to go back from the market.

Chhapan Dukaan
Exploring and eating, the most common thing we do on the vacation and every place you visit you expect to find lip-smacking, delicious food and don’t forget that Indore is famous for the snacks.
Apart from Sarafa Bazaar, you can explore another food hub of Indore, the Chhapan Dukaan.
Chhapan means 56 and the place offers 56 shops that offer unique and delicious food options. It is one of the most crowded places in Indore and you will find foodies here in the evening.
You can enjoy the nightlife of Indore at Chhapan Dukan along with your family and even it will satisfy your midnight cravings. The chaat from Indore, rabri jalebi, and many more. Krishnapura Chhatris
Indore is a place of Holkar and one or the other thing is related to Holkars. These Chhatris are also made on the memorial of the Holkar Dynasty. The Chhatris are created at the burial sites of each ruler or queen from the Holkar dynasty. They are dome-shaped structures along with pyramidal spires on the top. It is a famous tourist spot in Indore and attracts a lot of tourists, the Chhatris are illuminated with the fountains and even the artificial lake starts working in the evening so it is the highlight spot.
Not only this even, the steps built at the back of the structures, but it also leads to the bank of Kahn river so you can enjoy the river view. They have also used carved exteriors, different types of stones, colors that attract many tourists.

ISKCON, Indore
One of the famous the “International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKON)” is a known spot across the globe and so it is in Indore. The place was founded in 1966 by A C Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada in New York City. The area has the beliefs of Bhagvat Puran, Hindu Scriptures, Bhagvat Gita, Gaudiya Vaishnava Tradition, that we have from the 15th century.
People visit it for the sense of positivity, peace, and spirituality that comes from the chants and hymns of chants, which makes the soul relax and feel your light in the world of heavy competition.
It is one of the famous locations in Indore. The Temple is open from 5 am to 1 pm & 4 am to 7 pm but it remains closed on Saturdays and Sundays. You can also experience the vibrant festival celebration of Janmashtami.
Ralamandal wildlife sanctuary
Indore is full of surprises it will surprise you in every possible way as you can also explore the Ralamandal Wildlife Sanctuary. The sanctuary was established in the year 1989 and it is home to many different wildlife and birds. As said Indore is the place of Holkars, this place is also built by the Holkars and it was used as the hunting place & was known as Shikargah.
Earlier it had a considerable population of leopards, tigers, and deers but due to hunting by the royal family, it went low.
At present, if we see, it has a fauna that includes sambar, leopard, blackbuck, blue bull, barking deer, rabbit, etc. Apart from that, you will find Babul, Bamboo, Saja, Chandan, Teak, etc are available in the flora.
