Kanch Mandir, or you can call it Temple of glass. The Kanch Mandir is a famous Jain temple built by Seth Hukumchand Jain, and the construction began around 1903.

Many other Jain temples are known as Kanch Mandir across India, like Vrindavan, Shivpuri, Kanpur, and other places. The Kanch Mandir is built using white stone, and when we talk about the architecture, it is designed like a medieval mansion with shikhara and a balcony.

The interior of the Kanch Mandir is wholly covered with mosaics and glass panels everywhere, like the walls, ceilings, columns, and floor. The craftsmen were hired from Iran as well as from Gujrat, it is made with the medieval touch of Jains, and the glasses mirrors used in the Kanch Mandir are multicolored.

The Lalbagh Palace is one beauty that will give you a glimpse of the European region. The palace is a residential area of Holkar Maharaja, it was constructed in 1926 and was built with the Italian Revival Architecture.

The ASI inscribed the palace as a protected monument (Archaeological Survey of India). The residence palace is spread over 28 acres of land and is one of the interesting places to visit in Indore. You will have a glimpse of the city’s heritage and will give the feel of the lavish lifestyles of the rulers.

You will see the grand chandeliers, rich Persian carpets, Italian columns, and many more. The place is now converted into a museum, so you can have the testimony of the grand palace & the living style. Every year, a Malwa Utsav is organized to showcase the place’s culture. The Khajrana Ganesh Temple was built during the reign of the Holkar Dynasty and is dedicated to Lord Ganesha. By saying Holkar dynasty, it was built in 1935 by Maharani Ahilyabai Holkar (the queen).

The idol of Lord Ganesha placed in the Temple was retrieved from a well where it was hidden to keep it safe from the Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb. The locality around the Temple is developed and is maintained by the DM of Indore. Some other temples are dedicated to other gods, and the Temple is very well maintained. The positive vibes will drive you away to a different world, and seeking the blessing of God is the best thing.
