The movie “Two States” is an Indian romantic-comedy movie released in the year 2014, starring Alia Bhatt and Arjun Kapoor. The movie is based on a 2009 novel written by Chetan Bhagat named “2 States: The Story of My Marriage”. Two States is directed by Abhishek Varman under the production banner of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment and Dharma Production.

Actors like Ronit Roy, Amrita Singh, Shiv Kumar Subramaniam, and Revathi can be seen in the supporting role. The movie tells the story of a Punjabi boy from IIT, Delhi, and a Tamil girl, they meet at IIM and the roller coaster journey to their marriage starts because of religion and family differences. The movie was made with a budget of Rs 320 million and collected Rs 1.75 billion making it a great success of the film. 

Titanic

The movie “Titanic”, is an American romantic movie from the year 1997, written and directed by James Cameron. The movie is based on the true event of the ship named Titanic that sank while the passengers onboard.

Leonardo DiCaprio, Kate Winslet can be seen in the role of main lead of Jack and Rose, whereas Billy Zane, Frances Fisher, Kathy Bates, Bernard Hill, Danny Nucci, David Warner, Bill Paxton, and Jonathon Hyde are in the supporting cast. The movie is a mark for a love story and a disaster that took the life of so many human beings who were on board.

The movie is about two people from different social classes falling in love with each other, after the release it received a very good response from the audience and the movie achieved great success. The main gameplay in the whole movie was done by the editor Conrad Buff, James Cameron, and Richard A.

Harris, or else who would believe that the whole movie was shot in a swimming pool and the audience saw it as an ocean. The movie connected to the people as an emotional impact of human loss and the end of not only one love story but many others.

At that time ‘Titanic’ was the most expensive movie ever made with a budget of $ 200 million. The movie also won eleven Oscars, and that is the highest number of Oscar awards won by a single film.

Masaan

Masaan is a Hindi drama gem movie released in the year 2015, starring Vicky Kaushal, Richa Chadda, Swetha Tripathi, and Sanjay Mishra. The movie was directed by Neeraj Ghaywan and is a directorial debut movie produced under the banner of Macassar Productions, Drishyam films, Parthe Entertainment, Phantom Films, Sikhya Entertainments, and Arte France Cinema.

The movie is a masterpiece but underrated. The movie was also screened at the New York Dalit Film and Cultural Festival in the year 2019. Masaan is written by Varun Grover and is edited by Nitin Baid.

The plot of the film follows two separate stories, the first part has the story of a trainer of a coaching center which is played by Richa Chadda and the second part of the story comes to a boy from Varanasi who belongs to a family who works in cremation ghats and that role is played by Vicky Kaushal and later falls in love with the girl character named Shaalu Gupta played by Swetha Tripathi in his college but later Shaalu dies in a bus accident and the suspense starts from here and is a must-watch movie.

The movie “Pride & Prejudice” is a romantic drama released in the year 2005. The movie is directed by Joe Wright and is his directorial debut film starring Keira Knightley, Matthew Macfadyen, Donald Sutherland, Brenda Blethyn, Tom Hollander, Jena Malone, Rosamund Pike, and Judi Dench. Pride & Prejudice is based on a 1913 novel with the same title written by Jane Austen.

The movie theme focuses mainly on the family, romantics, and reality, it shows the story of a family where they are dealing with marriage issues. The whole crew tried to make this film a real experience instead of making it a muddy version of the novel and the whole movie was shot in England.

Pride & Prejudice received a very good response from the audiences and critics and also collected $ 121 million making it a success. Along with that the film also got nominated for 78th Academy Awards and also for best actress in a leading role which made Knightley three youngest best actress into the nominations and Wright’s work was very much appreciated.

The movie “The Princess Bride” is an American movie released in the year 1987 starring Rob Wright, Cary Elwes, Chris Sarandon, Mandy Patinkin, Wallace Shawn, and Christopher Guest and is directed by Rob Reiner.

The movie is based on the novel launched in the year 1973 named ‘The Princess Bride’, written by William Goldman. The movie tells the story of a farmhand and how he rescues his love from the prince with the help of companions and the movie goes in a narrative manner, where a grandfather whose role is played by Peter Falk tells a story to his sick grandson played by Fred Savage.

The Princess Bride is well edited by Robert Leighton and caught good attention. It was very well appreciated by the critics and gained success. If we count the film falls on the 50th number on hundred funniest movies by Bravo and eighty-eight on the score in the list of greatest film love stories.

The acting and adaption just seem like reality, the love stories have a common point of not getting your love so easily, and these were made so real with this movie, seems like that trend started from here only.

The movie was also selected to compete for Palme d’Or at Cannes Film Festival in the year 2019, and the movie also the Queer Plam at Cannes and became the first film to win this award directed by a woman.
