It seems like 2021 has been the season for reunions, after the F.R.I.E.N.D.S. reunion it’s time for another much-awaited reunion. Yes, you guessed it right! it’s time to go back to Hogwarts.

People have been awaiting this reunion since the Friends’ reunion was announced and it seems that HBO Max is fulfilling the wish of every Potter Head and it will be marvelous for Harry Potter fans to bring in the new year while reliving their childhood by going back to Hogwarts.

Pictures is calling out all the potter heads to live their childhood once again by bringing the Harry Potter Reunion to life by once again uniting the original cast members Emma Watson, Daniel Radcliffe, and Rupert Grint.

This reunion is being held to celebrate the eight films of the Harry Potter world. The reunion will air on HBO Max on 1st January 2022, New Year’s Day.

HBO Max dropped the teaser of the reunion on 16th November 2021 on Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram with the caption


“The invitation you’ve been waiting for has arrived. Harry potter 20th Anniversary: #ReturnToHogwarts is coming to HBO Max on New Year’s Day.”

Other cast members who will be joining the Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson will be Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy), Helena Bonham Carter (Bellatrix Lestrange), Ralph Fiennes (Lord Voldemort/Tom Marvolo Riddle), Gary Oldman (Sirius Black), Bonnie Wright (Ginny Weasley), Oliver Phelps (George Phelps), James Phelps (Fred Weasley), Robbie Coltrane (Rubeus Hagrid), Alfred Enoch (Dean Thomas), Matthew Lewis (Neville Longbottom), Evanna Lynch ( Luna Lovegood), Imelda Staunton (Dolores Umbridge) and Chris Columbus, the director of two Harry Potter films.

Richard Harris who acted the role Albus Dumbledore and Alan Rickman famous for playing the role of Severus Snape will be dearly missed in this reunion. It is not yet confirmed whether J.K. Rowling the author, of the Harry Potter franchise, will be joining the cast member or not.


Harry Potter Films and HBO Max posted the first picture of the reunion on social media platforms on 08th December 2022 which showed the first glimpse of Rupert Grint, Daniel Radcliffe, and Emma Watson sitting in a Gryffindor common room.

The Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Reunion has been shot at Warner Bros. Studio Tour London. 


All the Harry Potter movies are available on Amazon Prime and HBO Max to watch. HBO Max will release the new trailer of the much-anticipated Harry Potter 2oth Anniversary Reunion on 16th December 2021.

The reunion will show the behind the scenes and the experience of the numerous cast members from all the eight films of the franchise. It will be a great and amazing way for Harry Potter fans to bring in the new year.    

Warner Bros. Pictures has previously released the two films of Harry Potter spin-off series named Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them, and Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald and now Warner Bros.

Pictures has dropped the trailer of the Fantastic beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore on 13th December 2022. The third part in of the Fantastic Beasts series and it will be released on 08 April 2022. It stars renowned actors and actresses Jude Law, Eddie Redmayne, katherine Waterston, Mads Mikkelsen is a new addition to the Wizarding World of Fantastic Beasts series, he is playing notorious wizard Gellert Grindelwald replacing Johnny Depp who played the mentioned character in the second film, Ezra Miller, Dan Fogler, English actor Callum Turner, Alison Sudol, Jessica Williams, in the third instalment of the series.
