This is a series that can be replaced by Amazon’s ambitious studio and budget, which reportedly spends $ 10 million on each episode to build and destroy detailed sets and integrate CGI with tangible results to make magic and its monsters alive. . Every aspect of the production is well documented, from the elaborate costumes and outfits to the way Aes Sedai and her Warder caretakers fought in a beauty concert reminiscent of wuxia films.

But runner Rafe Judkins, Time Wheel, Earth Eye, but the writers also scratched parts of the plot and brought in characters who didn’t appear until much later in the series. When scenes and completely new characters are introduced, they often feel like they are getting right into the world and helping with its development.

A short voiceover helps in explaining that men are led by a powerful magician named Dragon who is tried to bind the Blacks and failed many years ago, breaking the entire world and leaving female magicians who are known as Aes Sedai to pick up the pieces. Aes Sedai Moiraine believes the Dragon has been reborn and grown and begins a campaign to find her before Dark One agents can get her on their side.

That desire leads him to the Two Rivers farm, where he finds four 20-year-olds who may be eligible for the Dragon Reborn bill. He takes them on a journey far from home to reveal their future and face the coming war of the world’s end. The show’s authors have shown their characters more, giving each more options and a reason to sacrifice. These add-ons work well for the most part, though unfortunately, some involve introducing a new character just to put it in the fridge.

The program has an excellent collection that brings heroes and criminals to life. Pike brings beautiful, stoic gravitas to Moiraine while Joshua Stradowski jokes actively and mopey Rand author, listening to his childhood sweetheart Egwene al Vere (Madeleine Madden) as he makes it clear he would like to be and he is stronger than he. Love. Even small letters are lit. Thom Merrilyn (Alexandre Willaume) feels like an older and wiser version of The Witcher’s Jaskier. He sings with great humility about the Dragon in a voice reminiscent of Chris Cornell or Eddie Vedder.

The Wheel of Time review: Flat-pack fantasy fills time before Lord of the Rings returns - CNET

It is no small and easy task to introduce so many characters and explain all the groups, history, and magic laws of order in a way that will not be lost to newcomers or filled with book fans. The Wheel of Time can connect the needle by displaying a team or active force, which allows us to enjoy a surprise or mystery, and then use the secure residents of Two Rivers as audience representatives who can be told exactly what it is. We continue.

The results in a dramatic change in tone and action of voice as a good ceremony turns into an intimate moment, or a bloody battle becomes the most threatening thing. Young heroes, and by the viewers, seldom realize how dangerous this world is until they are confronted by invading beasts, dark magic, or hidden rebels. This method of “action first, definitions later” works wonderfully to keep the momentum going without having to try to keep the audience entertained by the infamous show The Game of Thrones.

Game of Thrones and The Witcher have brought great success to the TV of dreams by overthrowing genres by emphasizing gender and cruelty. While both of these elements are present in the first few episodes of The Wheel of Time,  a show that embraces genre, it refuses to confirm moral standards while avoiding preservation celebrating the status quo. The series also has the advantage of having a conclusion that is already written and well-received by fans. Bezos wanted a new Game of Thrones. It may be even better if Wheel of Time can get enough audience to justify its price tag.

The Wheel of Time (TV Series 2021– ) - IMDb

The Time Wheel is beautiful, well-crafted, and solidly written, an exhibition that understands characters and the structure of Robert Jordan’s books without being faithful to slavery in the media. The first three episodes use a combination of action and personal dramas to bring the pages to life while providing an accessible introduction to the new series. The show’s coordinator, Rafe Judkins, puts it on the show he plans for the future. I hope he will be given time and money to see it.

Wheel of Time follows Moiraine (Rosamund Pike), a powerful, all-female organization of channels (magical users) called Aes Sedai, who is taking a group of five young people into her area following a military coup. Black, an evil organization that seeks to destroy the Pattern (Existence). Of the five, he believes it could be the rebirth of the dragon, the ancient warrior, and the mighty sweeper prophesied to save the earth or destroy it.

The production prices of The Wheel of Time are high, shot at a magnificent level, richness is evident in all frames, and cinematography is a matter of beauty. The sequence of action and the design of the characters of the fairy tale creatures are also very well done, and all the borrowed characters put their foremost foot forward. Structure and arrangement are excellent, but that is because of how they come from the Lord of the Rings.
