In recent years Motorola has been doing a fantastic job, and by continuing its work, they have launched the new moto G31.
The moto G31 is a budget device that comes with the cleanest OS and AMOLED display.
This is one of the G series devices which targets the budget segment consumers wanting a good phone with clean software.
So let us talk about the device is worth the money and if you are looking for a device, should you go for this.

 

Motorola G31 Display

 

The main highlighting feature of the device is the AMOLED display which is one of the first in this budget. At a low price, Motorola is providing a perfect colour contrast with good viewing angles, which is evident in an AMOLED display.

The display of this smartphone can go up to 700 nits which is a good thing keeping the price of the phone in mind.

And the support of comprehensive one L1, you can easily watch HD content on Prime and Netflix. There are no such HDR features, but indeed the display quality of this phone is pretty excellent. The consumers whose priority is for content consumption can quickly go for this.

Motorola G31 Chipset, storage, OS, and Connectivity

 

The Motorola G31 comes with the MediaTek G 85 chipset, which is a decent chip, but they could have done better than this.
When it comes to the RAM, it has LPDDR 4x, and storage is of EMCP, which has more read-write speed than EMMC 5.5 and a little less than the UFS version of storage.
This phone comes with two variants, one with 4 GB ram and 64 GB storage and another one with 6 GB ram and 128 GB storage.

But another highlighting part of this smartphone is the OS which comes with the cleanest stock android with some additional Moto features.

So in stock android, you will get additional features like the moto display options, camera software, Dolby Equalizer, gaming mode, and many more.

Motorola has said that it will get two years of security updates with one major update, which is Android 12.

And the best part is that you will not encounter any ads and bloatware in this software.
Additionally, Motorola has provided their think shield security in this phone.

In the connectivity part, it comes with a hybrid sim slot with dual 4g support with 2/2 MIMO where you can enjoy high 4g speeds.

The moto g31 comes with a single bottom-firing speaker, which is loud enough, and the fingerprint sensor is in the back.

And it comes with all the sensors it should have, like the gyroscope, accelerometer, magnetic sensor, etc.

 

Motorola g31 camera, battery, design, and build quality

 

In this smartphone, moto has introduced the 50MP sensor primary lens with 8 MP ultrawide and 2 MP macro lens.

The 50 MP camera takes good photos in good lighting conditions with a good amount of details with saturation. The ultrawide camera takes decent shots in good condition, and the 13MP selfie camera takes a good selfie, and portrait mode is fine too.

The post-processing is good enough with a nice saturation level and details. The excellent part is in the battery department, where it packs a 5000mAh battery. And when you kill your battery to refuel it, you have to use the 20 Watt charger, which is provided in the box.

The build of the phone is polycarbonate, or you can say plastic, but it is of good quality, and the thickness of the phone is 8.5 mm, and the weight is about 180 grams. The form factor of the phone is pretty good for a user, and it is easy to use because of the 6.4-inch display size.

Pros and cons

 

The pros of the phone are the AMOLED display, 5000mAh battery, and 50-megapixel camera.

The downside of the phone is the chipset which could be better in my point, and the storage speed could be better.

The price of the 4GB and 64 GB version is 12,999 INR, and the 6GB with 128 GB storage version is 14,999 INR.

And the final verdict of mine will be that the specs to the price of the phone are balanced and it comes with some pretty good features too.

So if you are on a tight budget and content consumption is your main priority with software, you can indeed look into this device.
