6 MLAs have been appointed as new Chief Minister’s Advisors following the reshuffle of the Rajasthan Cabinet

The induction of twelve new faces into the Rajasthan government has met a crucial demand of former deputy chief minister Sachin Pilot, who had called for the change.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has nominated six members of the state legislature, including three independents, to the position of adviser. The appointment comes only hours after 15 new ministers were sworn in as part of the state’s cabinet reform.

Twelve new members of the cabinet have been appointed, satisfying a key demand of former deputy chief minister Sachin Pilot, whose mutiny against the state’s Congress government last year rattled the state’s administration.

Jitendra Singh, Rajkumar Sharma, and Danish Abrar are the three Congress members of parliament who have been selected as advisers.

Mr. Gehlot has also named independent legislators Babu Lal Nagar, Sanyam Lodha, and Ramkesh Meena to the position of adviser. The appointment was announced in a list provided by the Chief Minister’s Office. In addition to being considered close to Mr. Gehlot, the six MLAs were also candidates to become cabinet ministers.

On the day Mr. Pilot revolted against Mr. Gehlot in July of last year, Danish Abrar was one of three Congress MLAs who were present in Delhi at the time.

Initially, it was assumed that they were with Mr. Pilot, but they later returned to Jaipur, claiming that they had traveled to Delhi for personal reasons alone.

He is currently believed to be a member of the Gehlot faction.

Former ministers Jitendra Singh, Rajkumar Sharma, and Babu Lal Nagar are among those who have served in the Cabinet.

People who did not make it into the council of ministers will be re-adjusted in their roles in other political positions, according to Mr. Gehlot, who made the announcement the day before.

Following the conclusion of the oath ceremony, Mr. Gehlot stated that parliamentary secretaries, advisers, and chairpersons of boards of directors and corporations will be chosen.

“Some of them will now go on to become advisers, parliamentary secretaries, and chairpersons of boards of directors and corporate boards of directors. Because of this, there is a concerted attempt to identify how we can influence the majority of MLAs and move forward,” Mr. Gehlot told reporters regarding the issue.

According to a party leader, the position and involvement of the newly appointed advisers in the administration will be of the same importance as their appointment.

As the party’s head stated, “they will be given equal prominence in the government.”

According to sources, up to 15 parliamentary secretaries could be appointed.

Ads by Congress national secretary Ajay Maken, on the other hand, suggested that this would not be the final cabinet change, stating that new faces would be given the opportunity to serve for the party if they expressed an interest in doing so.

Before the swearing ceremony, Mr. Maken addressed MLAs at the party office, where he expressed gratitude to state party chief Govind Singh Dotasra, as well as Harish Chaudhary and Raghu Sharma, who left their positions as ministers to serve for the party.

Following the “one man, one post” formula followed by the party’s leadership, Mr. Dotasra, Mr. Chaudhary, and Mr. Sharma resigned from the council of ministers on Friday.

The All-India Congress Committee (AICC) has named Mr. Sharma as Gujarat’s AICC representative, while Mr. Chaudhary has been named the AICC representative for Punjab, and Mr. Sharma has been named the AICC representative for Gujarat.

“Chief Minister Narendra Modi and other senior party leaders have taken a cautious stance on the matter, according to reports. When it comes to the reorganization of the government’s cabinet, all regional and sociological considerations have been taken into account.” According to a high-ranking party official.

“In light of the limits, it was not possible to accommodate everyone who had expressed a desire to participate. 15 legislative secretaries and 7 chief ministerial advisors, as well as other political appointments, will be chosen to achieve this goal “said the de facto leader of the group.

The Congress is represented by 108 Members of Parliament in the 200-member Assembly (MLAs). In addition, it has the support of 12 of the 13 independent members of the House of Commons.

The state now has a total of 30 ministers, which is the maximum number of ministers that can be nominated, following the appointment of 12 new ministers and the promotion of three ministers from the Ministry of State to cabinet rank on Sunday.

State cabinet members have been reduced to 19, with ten ministers of state joining them. The chief minister is the only remaining cabinet member.
